Triumph Shapewear

You may recognise it from the wardrobes of your mother – perhaps even your grandmother: the Doreen bra from lingerie brand Triumph. It introductory came on the market in 1967, and you may still get one. It is said to be the best-selling bra ever made. But why? What is so good with regards to it?

The keyword is comfort. The Doreen bra is put together from 48 dissimilar parts, all optimized for the intention of perfective fit and greatest or most complete or best possible aid for your bosom. The ease it provides for women wearing bras all day long is what has kept it on the market all these years. Anyone you recognise who owns one, will agree to that. It is not a bra made for the pleasure of men’s eyes – though it surely is sexy in it is own way, with it is semi-transparent lace cups. It’s finest task is to support breasts of any size, while not being too tight, not cutting into your shoulders with hair-thin straps or bothering you with misplaced under-wiring or other such annoyances. It’s major features are: a three-piece cup which provides greatest or most complete or best possible support, without placing exuberant pressure on the breast; a cup frame which helps keep the cups close to the skin, again helping with support; Extra-wide shoulder straps to better disseminate the weight on your shoulders.

These are just some of the most important parts of the Triumph Doreen bra, but there are some other details present – with the single intention of keeping your bosom in place. Women who own one, say it is so comfortable, it is as even though it is not even there – while others will wear not one thing else.

Some might call it old-fashioned, and it is true that it has not changed since it is inception in 1967. It will not replace a wonder bra, or a deep plunge bra that you might wear beneath a dress or top to get a visible cleavage. In fact, if you wish to show as little cleavage as possible, it would be the perfective choice. It could be said to be a one-trick pony – but fortunately enough, that trick is what galore women desire most in a bra: extreme comfort. It also makes your breasts appear somewhat pointy, which a heap of do not like – though this look is experiencing a revival in the retro-lingerie craze we are seeing right now.

The Triumph Doreen Bra is a matter of taste when it comes to looks – though it is rather beautiful. But when it comes to comfort, not one thing beats it.

2Lifelong Fan – Disappointed

The packaging is great
- the commitment to Rik Emmett’s late brother a very nice touch.

2The drums sound like garbage!
By Invisible Pedestrian
Love this band, always have and I’ve seen them live and they always put on a outstanding show in spite of the Spandex. Rik Emmett is one the finest guitarists ever.
But damn, what is up with this debacle? The drums are mixed beyond enjoyment. They are painful, horrid and gated and sound like giant turds being beaten.
Hard to believe this was OK’d by the band but apparantly it was. Richard Chycki ought to be ashamed. Was this to make the band sound hip and modern? Please.
Also, a good deal of tracks are missing that are no-brainers and same for the videos-so numerous are missing.
The packaging is very nice and the overall formally presenting something is too, but man, the remixes are atrocious, exceptionally the drums.
2 stars for the missing songs, videos and the poopy drums. Otherwise it would’ve been 5 stars easily.
I’d also add the DVD is very disappointing. Missing videos are: “Movin’ On”, “American Girls”, “Magic Power” (both versions), “Say Goodbye”, “Allied Forces”, “Fight The Good Fight”, “A World Of Fantasy” and “Mind Games”. We get inferior live versions of “Magic Power” from 1987, and a 3 minute shortened clip of “Allied Forces” from the US Festival ’83-very lame and gorgeous insulting.
Who knows what they were thinking-they said some videos were too cheesy? They’re all cheesy! Who cares?
Bottom line-they genuinely screwed this up-but it still has a lot of things that any fan would want. Just nowhere near enough. And man, “Love Hurts” is wretched-worse than a Bea Arthur nude poster.

4Almost Perfect
By Allen W. Harmsen
I am happy that Triumph freed a remixed Greatest Hits package. In addition to the remastering and bettered engineering, the remixing brought the vocals out front and each track now has a cleaner sound. Particularly on “Follow Your Heart” and “Somebody’s Out There”. Both songs sound like fresh new recordings.
